We were awarded as Runner-up in the European Business Awards for the Environment 2018-2019 in the category “The Management Award for Micro and Small Companies". The ceremony took place on 14/11/2018 in the majestic Palais Niederösterreich in the center of Vienna. The Directorate-General Environment of European Commission awarded the 22 European finalists companies and announced the winners in the 6 prize categories.

The European Business Awards for the Environment, an initiative of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for the Environment, recognise businesses that successfully combine innovation, competitiveness and outstanding environmental performance. Totally, 161 companies from 19 European countries participated in this demanding environmental awards and only 22 companies from a total of 9 countries managed to be the best of the best and be to the finalist list. One of them was our company and it is worth mentioning that since 1987 until today only four (4) Greek companies have managed to reach the final stage.

The awards were presented by Mr. Jurgen Schneider, Director General of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Sustainability and Tourism, along with Mr. Gilles Gantelet, Director of DG Environment of the European Commission. The Greek delegation consists of Professor NTUA. Mr. Aravosis Constantine as National Representative to the European Evaluation Committee Awards and Mr. Papadakis Antonis, representative of the awards in Greece by the PASEPPE (Greek Association of Environmental Protection Companies) which had the responsibility of the national organization of these awards.
